Visa Requirements

To study in Germany, you need a Student Visa. Requirements include:
Valid Passport
• University admission letter (Zulassungsbescheid)
• Proof of financial resources (Blocked account with €10,236 or scholarship/loan documents)
• Health insurance coverage
• Academic transcripts and certificates
• Language proficiency (German: TestDaF/DSH or English: IELTS/TOEFL)
• Motivational letter
• CV/Resume
• Biometric passport photos

Work Rights

International students can work 120 full days or 240 half days per year while studying. Student assistant jobs (HiWi) at universities are unlimited and don’t count toward this limit.
After graduation, you can apply for:
• 18-Month Job Seeker Visa: Search for employment related to your degree
• EU Blue Card: Once you find a job with a minimum salary threshold (€45,300 for graduates in STEM fields)
